Director of Maintenance

We are seeking a Director of Maintenance who will oversee all aspects of maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance, safety, and guest satisfaction at our venues. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a team in maintaining the highest standards of facility upkeep, energy management, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance and engineering staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
2. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules for all properties to minimize downtime and ensure timely repairs.
3. Oversee capital projects, renovations, and improvement initiatives, working closely with contractors and other departments.
4. Manage the maintenance budget, control expenses, and oversee procurement for supplies, equipment, and contracts.
5. Develop strategies for energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across properties.
6. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, and implement best practices in risk management and disaster preparedness.
7. Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of maintenance and ensure guest satisfaction.
8. Liaise with suppliers and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality service.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience in a senior maintenance role, preferably within luxury hospitality or high-end resort environments.
3. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, MEP, kitchen, and energy management systems.
4. Proven experience managing large teams and multiple properties.
5. Excellent project management, organizational, and budgeting skills.
6. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and environmental initiatives.
7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
