Associate - Sustainability Consultant

Job Description
Climate Change is a reality we all face today. As Built Environment professionals, we have a key role to play as 40% of the Global Greenhouse Gas emissions come from the construction sector. We believe bold ideas are required to reimagine the future towards a greener, equitable, and sustainable future. In the midst of the climate emergency, the AECOM ESG Team is seeking an Associate - Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Dubai.

Job Duties

1. Organizes own work to achieve set deadlines.
2. Independently checks the accuracy of own work prior to review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member.
3. Supports the development of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, develops details, and specifications.
4. Adopts good engineering/design solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documentation to support these solutions.
5. Supports the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports.
6. Develops an awareness of AECOM’s QMS procedures.
7. Coordinates with internal design disciplines to achieve a high quality, consistent set of presentation or design documents.
8. Supports research on emerging technology/trends in sustainability and wellness in the built environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

1. BEng or BSc in Building Science, Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering field of study.
2. LEED AP, Estidama PQP, WELL AP.
3. Carbon Assessment.
4. One Click LCA.
5. Good knowledge and understanding of Design & Construction Stage Sustainability Deliverables.

Good to Have Knowledge and Understanding

1. Carbon Assessment.
2. GRI and GRESB Reporting.

Specific Skills Required

1. Minimum 10+ years post-graduate experience in Sustainability.
2. Evidence of general understanding of architectural and engineering building system planning, space, and urban planning requirements.
3. Base Sustainability concepts.
4. Delivering LEED and Estidama project (Design and Construction).
5. Drawing production (Design Brief compliance, completeness & accuracy).
6. Ability to fulfill all the above duties and responsibilities and manage own time.
7. Good analytical skills, creative, research mindset.
8. LEED, Estidama Design and Construction Stage Assessments.
9. Ashrae 90.1 Energy Audits.
