Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
- Work closely with the Fintel team to prepare yearly forecast revenue and assist in the yearly budgeting exercise.
- Manage the External Auditor relationship, ensuring KATIM is compliant with accounting standards.
- Recognize revenue based on IFRS 15 for all projects.
- Submit monthly Project profitability reports to management.
- Ensure all financial activities and requirements relating to project close-outs are carried out in a timely manner.
- Properly record Purchase and Sales transactions according to UAE VAT law.
- Generate timely customer invoices and collect receivables on time.
- Monitor all collection activities and develop processes to improve cash flow and downsize receivables.
- Lead performance discussions against agreed objectives, aligning with the team on development goals and career paths.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, Senior Accountant, and Chief Accountants, helping them creatively customize successful strategies to drive individual and team results and oversee process improvement initiatives.
- Track performance of the function and team, regularly communicate activity and results, and monitor tasks and responsibilities of the team.
- Establish operational objectives for the department including workforce planning and assignment of resources and create areas of accountability for each segment.
- Provide guidance and facilitation to line managers and the talent acquisition team to recruit, identify, select, onboard, and retain highly skilled and diverse candidates in the finance team.
- Nurture a culture of service, credibility, and partnership.
Experience And Education Qualification
- Chartered Accountant, CIMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent degree / MBA in Finance.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting Field. IT Industry experience is a plus, with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Manager.
