Job description

Reporting to the Head of Liability Products, the Product Manager will be responsible for the retail liability products offering. He/she must be well-versed in retail products and business strategy and capable of communicating passionately, while improving the customer experience.

The right candidate will be well-versed in retail liability and SME products and financial technology, passionate about developing digital solutions, and has previous experience working in a corporate environment.

Major Responsibilities

  • To advise and make decisions throughout the product definition and launch and serve as an expert with a profound knowledge.
  • To determine effective ways to offer a complete solution for any product problem, and to look for ways to fill gaps.
  • To perform objective analysis of potential market opportunities, and articulate learnings to quantify risks.
  • To design, maintain and enhance the company's existing products and any new product line pricing, structures, strategies and tactics to meet changing needs in customer preferences and revenue targets.
  • To ensure that prices and programs comply with the company's pricing strategy, and constantly monitor the profitability and key drivers, and to take action as necessary to improve results.
  • To implement the pricing processes for modeling, volume forecasting and measurement to identify KPIs.
  • To develop tools and models that would allow testing of price elasticity.
  • To establish annual business and expense plans for each product.
  • Monitor the results to be aligned with the plan and meet the changing business needs and budget targets.
  • To work closely with the stream leads, and execute the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle covering conceptualization, business requirements, product solutions, meticulous quality checks and deployment.
  • To define, track, and report product KPIs that drive decisions and measure success.
  • To own and manage the P/L of Finance House's various liability and SME products.
  • To demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to work with people across a large organization at all levels.
  • To have a deep understanding of transaction banking domains, with a great ability to conceive and design end-to-end product flows, define interface requirements, identify relevant operational processes and clearly articulate these flows and processes to the relevant business and technology workgroups.
  • Cross-functional engagement with account sales, product delivery, implementation, retail partnerships, legal and compliance, and the other teams, to provide support and offer solutions to market plans.
  • To understand the gaps in the current asset product offering, and the digital sales and marketing offering, and work with different teams to address these gaps and enhance the digital experience for users.
  • As a subject matter expert, you should have a strong understanding of digital marketing among other marketing technology stacks.
  • Continuously evaluate the ever-changing financial ecosystem and related emerging technologies, in collaboration with our technology partners.
  • A pertinent first-hand experience and a proven track record of working in the product management and development functions in financial institutions.
  • Good understanding of the product development lifecycle, using Agile Methodology and relevant prior experiences in drafting vision statements, epics and user stories, using cases documents, solution papers, business workflow documents and high-level design documents.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in product design in a financial/banking environment.
  • Has strong communication, problem-solving and decision making skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior managers.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative business relationships.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and apply communication skills to influence others decisions while exhibiting good manners.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and building project plans and presentations.
  • Proven understanding of product pricing and financial statements.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Designing.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in roles such as Product Owner or Product Manager.
