Energy Division Project Director

Role Summary:

Reporting directly to the Energy Division Director, responsible for ensuring performance excellence and successful delivery of an energy Oil & Gas project across UAE.

What you will need to do:

• Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex oil and gas projects in UAE.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to ensure stakeholder alignment and support.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any obstacles that may impact project success.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
• Mentor and coach project team members, providing leadership and support to maximize their potential and contribution to the project's success.

Qualifications:

What you will need to have:

• BA in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field as a minimum.
• Minimum of 15 years within multidiscipline Oil & Gas construction projects.
• Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in project management within the oil and gas industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects (>$500MN USD value could be a good indicator).
• At least two (2) successfully delivered EPC (aka DB) projects as a Project Manager.
• Demonstrable ability to manage EPC contracts for onshore/offshore brownfield Oil & Gas projects for major Oil & Gas companies.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving project goals.
• Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Solid knowledge of oil and gas industry practices, regulations, and standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and overcoming challenges.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Experience working in the UAE or the Middle East region is a plus.
