We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Pediatric Hematologist to join our team in Qatar.

Job Description

As a Consultant Pediatric Hematologist, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to children with blood disorders and diseases. You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team and will work closely with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans and manage patient care. Your role will also involve educating and advising patients and their families on the various aspects of their condition, as well as conducting research and participating in academic activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and treat children with various blood disorders and diseases.
  2. Create individualized treatment plans for patients based on their medical history and current condition.
  3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood counts and genetic testing.
  4. Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to manage patient care.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and potential side effects.
  6. Participate in academic activities, such as teaching and research.
  7. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric hematology and share knowledge with colleagues.
  8. Maintain accurate and complete medical records of patients.
Requirements

  1. Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Board certification in Pediatric Hematology.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Pediatric Hematologist.
  4. In-depth knowledge of various blood disorders and diseases in children.
  5. Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  8. Strong research and analytical skills.
  9. Must be Western-trained.
