AV TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Technician to join our team at SO/ Uptown Dubai. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing audio visual and lighting equipment throughout our facility. This role requires a professional approach, efficient problem-solving skills, and a strong customer focus.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and repair all audio visual and lighting equipment.
• Respond promptly to work requests, prioritizing those related to health and safety.
• Ensure optimal performance of AV and lighting equipment through regular preventive maintenance.
• Evaluate and respond to equipment usage and energy efficiency concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily log books, shop drawings, and equipment catalogs.
• Assist in setting up and operating AV equipment for various events and meetings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless AV operations.
• Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry best practices.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Secondary School diploma plus Technical College degree or equivalent in Audio-Visual Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing audio visual and lighting equipment.
• Strong knowledge of modern AV systems and technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with digital AV systems and control interfaces.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Customer-oriented approach with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in AV environments.
