We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Technician to join our team at SO/ Uptown Dubai. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing audio visual and lighting equipment throughout our facility. This role requires a professional approach, efficient problem-solving skills, and a strong customer focus.
Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and repair all audio visual and lighting equipment.
Respond promptly to work requests, prioritizing those related to health and safety.
Ensure optimal performance of AV and lighting equipment through regular preventive maintenance.
Evaluate and respond to equipment usage and energy efficiency concerns.
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily log books, shop drawings, and equipment catalogs.
Assist in setting up and operating AV equipment for various events and meetings.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless AV operations.
Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry best practices.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Secondary School diploma plus Technical College degree or equivalent in Audio-Visual Technology or a related field.
Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing audio visual and lighting equipment.
Strong knowledge of modern AV systems and technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with digital AV systems and control interfaces.
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Customer-oriented approach with the ability to work well under pressure.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in AV environments.
