Job Description
- Assist in managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring efficient task distribution and workflow.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and support their professional development.
- Coordinate staff schedules, manage performance, and ensure adherence to departmental policies.
IT Infrastructure & Operations:
- Help manage and maintain the organization's IT systems, networks, and hardware.
- Ensure network performance, monitor system health, and proactively address potential issues.
- Oversee software installations, updates, and maintenance.
Security & Compliance:
- Assist in enforcing cybersecurity protocols, ensuring data protection and system integrity.
- Work with the IT Manager to ensure compliance with industry regulations, including privacy laws and internal security policies.
- Coordinate backup and disaster recovery processes.
Project Management:
- Participate in IT projects, including planning, implementation, and follow-up.
- Track project milestones and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Support the rollout of new technologies or system upgrades across the organization.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support to employees, addressing hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot complex IT problems and resolve them efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Develop user guides and FAQs to improve self-service options.
- Assist in selecting and managing third-party vendors for IT services and products.
- Help evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and services to improve system performance and user satisfaction.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain records of IT systems, procedures, and operational issues.
- Assist in the creation of reports on IT performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Document IT-related issues and resolutions for future reference.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in IT management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Experience with IT project management and vendor management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, Cisco, ITIL) are a plus.
- Experience with cloud technologies and services.
- Familiarity with business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
- Project management experience (PMP or similar certifications).
