This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer - Offshore with a proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements for a high-profile client.

The key objectives for this role are:

1. Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and equipment to meet project specifications and operational requirements
2. Oversee electrical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
3. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring the application of best engineering practices
4. Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements
5. Conduct rigorous testing and inspection of electrical systems to ensure their quality and reliability
6. Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems and equipment
7. Implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance the performance and efficiency of electrical systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the design and approval of all electrical work on assigned projects
2. Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used on assigned projects meet the Client's requirements
3. Participate in project scheduling and project review activities
4. Carry out calculations & studies required to finalize electrical equipment specifications
5. Prepare material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment on assigned projects
6. Assist the designers for the preparation of electrical drawings such as SLDs, Protection & Control schematics and layout drawings.
7. Review vendor's document to ensure equipment vendors provide timely and quality input into design packages
8. Review all third-party discipline design work
9. Understand the contract quality management system and ensure these requirements are met
10. Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface, during the design development, review and check processes
11. Proficient in the use of ETAP, Navisworks, Lighting calculation Software (Dialux etc.) and MS- OFFICE
12. Set up and maintain electrical databases on assigned projects
13. Carry out electrical engineering work as required by the lead electrical engineer in accordance with the agreed project schedule
14. Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT's) for electrical equipment (or equipment with significant electrical content) on assigned projects

Expected:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region
2. Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing team of Engineers and designers
3. Offshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desired
4. Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
5. Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required
6. Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn / Flexible with a can-do attitude
7. Working hands on Experience on SPEL
8. Must have working knowledge and experience of electrical discipline relevant offshore/onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices
9. Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
