Job Purpose

Ability to inspect TechnipFMC products and/ or outsourced components and materials using equipment, processes and procedures in Customer site and within workshop. Verifies conformance to established quality requirements.

Job Description

Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.

Perform stage Quality inspection as required by the job which includes but not limited to:

1. Dimensional inspection
2. NDT (MPI, LP, UT)
3. Hardness checks
4. Visual Checks
5. Light Band
6. Thread inspection
7. Coating inspection

Perform SAP transactions to close transactions.

Interpret machine shop drawings and understand machining symbols and tolerance limits and compare the same to the actual component.

Assist or sometimes lead any certification, Customer or Internal Audit.

Visit customer facilities to inspect equipment.

Assist TPI within the facility or at the suppliers facility.

Review MTCs.

You are meant for this job if:

• REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION:
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical, Precision Engineering, Quality Assurance or equivalent certified welding inspector is preferred.
• REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 5 years hands-on experience as QC/Welding/NDE Inspector in related industries.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATE(S):
  • C SWIP 3.1 or AWS, CWI or Equivalent Certified ASNT Level II on RT, PT, MT and UT.
• REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:
  • Able to understand and interpret complex blueprints / engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards, ASME IX, API 6A, and other Quality and Productivity tools.
