Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Business Development Manager shall focus on acquiring and retaining clients and nurturing relationships over time. This role will act as a strategic partner and advisor to the client and discover new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Set targets for new business development for the business development executives.
  2. Implement new business initiatives across the business and sales teams.
  3. Work closely with members of the team to generate new business within large accounts.
  4. Identify sales opportunities as a result of market changes.
  5. Form strategic partnerships with other companies to leverage their existing networks.
  6. Negotiate sales contracts with customers and ensure their profitability.
  7. Work with the marketing team to devise marketing materials and tools to support new business teams.
  8. Establish relationships with key project stakeholders.
  9. Promote D&R expertise in BIM to new and existing clients.
  10. Participate in the quotation and negotiation phase of new projects.
  11. Monitor the project delivery phase to identify new business opportunities.
  12. Collaborate with the Technical team during presales engagements.
  13. Identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
  14. Influence and network with prospective clients to build relationships and identify business needs to address.
  15. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  16. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to clients' needs and objectives.
  17. Clearly communicate the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to Duncan & Ross Management.
  18. Forecast and track key business development metrics (e.g., weekly reporting of pipeline development and progress, quarterly sales results, and annual forecasts).
  19. Travel across the GCC on a timely basis to meet prospective clients and identify their needs while visiting their offices and presenting Duncan & Ross Solutions Portfolio.
  20. Project mobilization/remobilization oversight on new projects.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Microsoft Office Literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  2. Excellent English communication; another language would be an advantage.
  3. 4-8 years proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or Sales Account Manager.
  4. Experience as a BIM Engineer is an advantage.
  5. Ideally, experience in any of the sectors: O&G, Construction, Aerospace & Defense, Technology, Telco Sector; solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
  6. Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  7. Proven ability to juggle multiple business management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  8. Self-motivated, driven, methodical, and enthusiastic individual.
  9. Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  10. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  11. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  1. MSc/MBA/BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales Engineering, or relevant field.
  2. Valid driving license.
