Mechanic Electromechanic

Inspects, troubleshoots, disassembles, services, rebuilds, overhauls, and repairs both the BMP-3 and Rabdan Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) turret system for AL TAIF TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC. Ensures that all BMP-3 and Rabdan IFV turret system maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Ensures the process is maintained within the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards. Learns, understands and complies with applicable health, safety and environment directives. Participates in the development of a safe and healthy working environment. Ensures compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, service, rebuild, overhaul, and repair both BMP-3 and Rabdan IFV turret systems.
2. Ensure that all BMP-3 and Rabdan IFV turret system maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs and OEM specifications.
3. Perform quality maintenance repairs as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System program.
4. Perform BMP-3 and Rabdan IFV turret systems maintenance inspections to determine the extent of repair and spare parts requirements.
5. Perform BMP-3 and Rabdan IFV turret system troubleshooting using special tools and diagnostic test equipment.
6. Replace BMP-3 and Rabdan IFV turret system major assemblies (turret ring, Namut thermal sight, SOHZ gunner’s main sight and integrated laser ranger finder) and components (wiring harnesses, smoke grenade launchers, hydraulic lines and tubing).
7. Ensure all maintenance order spare parts residue is returned to the Armament Workshop store.
8. Perform BMP-3 and Rabdan IFV turret system spare parts research to ensure that only required spare parts are requisitioned in the appropriate quantities.
9. Complete maintenance related documentation such as maintenance tasks accomplished, direct labour hours consumed, vehicle specific information, spare part request forms, etc.
10. Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
11. Ensure all issued tools, uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is accounted for, maintained and secured.
12. Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
13. Support other members of the Armament Workshop in fulfilling their roles.
14. Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, Armament Workshop.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2. A minimum of one year of experience performing scheduled and/or unscheduled maintenance on track laying and/or heavy wheeled vehicle turret systems is required.
3. Previous experience or automotive training is an advantage.
4. The ability to interpret complex electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic schematics is preferred.
5. Previous experience using diagnostic testing equipment is an advantage.
6. Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
7. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
