What you'll be doing:

A highly motivated and self-driven individual to design, develop, and maintain GMG Retail & E-commerce business intelligence solution that transforms raw data into actionable insights. The position revolves around collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and creating scalable and efficient BI solutions to meet those needs.

From Supply chain, to customer data (single view of customer) to actionable Brick & Mortar and E-commerce insights, to be extracted with the given BI tools to make a difference in a multi-billion Retail & E-commerce organization. The role requires a deep understanding of Customer Data, E-commerce lever of growth, and Brick & Mortar ins and outs.

This is to live and breathe Power BI, Tableau as BI platforms having data sourced through Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Customer Data platforms and Google Analytics 4, which would be bolstering efficient decision making and long-lasting impact on business.

Job Description:

1. Data Modeling and ETL:
   • Design and develop data models and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to transform and prepare data for analysis.
   • Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the ETL pipeline.


2. Report and Dashboard Development:
   • Create interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
   • Customize and optimize reports to meet specific business needs.


3. Query and Analysis:
   • Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from various sources.
   • Perform data analysis to provide actionable insights by identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.


4. BI Tool Administration:
   • Administer and maintain BI tools and platforms.
   • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.


5. Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
   • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and prioritize BI requirements.
   • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.


6. Documentation:
   • Document data models, ETL processes, and report specifications in BRD.
   • Create user guides and training materials for BI solutions.


7. Data Security and Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations adopted by the organization.
   • Implement data access controls and encryption as needed.

Functional/Technical Competencies:

1. Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Looker.
2. Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and manipulation.
3. Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.
4. Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools.
