  1. Scope of the role

Responsible for managing customers in markets other than UAE by providing piping and fitting solutions based on their requirement and achievement of sales and GP targets as per the business plan.

  1. Qualifications, Experience and skills
  • Graduate / Post-graduate with 10-12 years of experience in construction industry preferably in selling of Pipes and Fittings.
  • Should have managed a team of sales staff for at least 5 years.
  • Has knowledge about GCC market and industry.
  • Has ability to build relationships with clients / consultants.
  • Maintains confidentiality about company information like customer data, sales data, etc.
  • Inquisitiveness to market changes and keeping abreast with the market conditions.
  1. Job Profile
  • Devises the strategic plan for the marketing and sales operation based on potential markets in line with the business strategy.
  • Travels to identified markets, collects information about market/projects/customers and plans the sales accordingly in consultation with MD.
  • Finalizes product lines, quality standards, and pricing for the market based on the initial study in consultation with MD.
  • Identifies and appoints distributors in the market.
  • Builds relationships and credibility with distributors in the identified markets.
  • Ensures all procedures related to sales, logistics, and distribution are finalized and approved.
  • Evaluates and performs background checks of all new customers through KYC and ensures that all relevant documents are available.
  • Ensures availability of all relevant KYC documents in the system for all existing customers.
  • Promotes the brand through service and thereby improves repeat sales with the customers.
  • Ensures all queries are attended to and responded to within stipulated lead-time.
  • Ensures all quotes are accurate and right in all aspects and also follows up on LPO.
  • Achieves targets as per the business plan in terms of sales, conversion, and GP.
  • Follows up internally for product quality and delivery as per the customer requirements.
  • Visits markets for feedback on product and delivery and incorporates changes as per the feedback and as appropriate.
  • Ensures all relevant records on sales are in the system and retrieves records whenever required.
  • Inspires coworkers to attain goals and pursues excellence.
  • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement with team members and makes constructive suggestions for changes.
  • Coordinates with other functions for smoothing functioning of export sales.
  • Identifies the loopholes in the system and suggests improvements to protect the company's capital and goods.
  • Ensures all relevant reports are made with accuracy and as per the timelines and submits them to the management.

Note:

Experience in handling business in both Middle East and African regions.
