Early Years & Year 1 Arabic Language Provision Teacher

Dubai Heights Academy is seeking applications from passionate newly qualified Arabic teachers who are able to contribute to continued improvements in progress and student attainment.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver engaging Arabic language instruction, integrating oracy and foundational literacy in line with KHDA's curriculum standards.
  2. Utilise play-based and inquiry-driven teaching methods to make Arabic learning enjoyable and accessible.
  3. Engage in co-teaching models to deliver integrated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  4. Ensure that at least one-third of instructional time includes Arabic language exposure through structured and unstructured activities.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to create an immersive Arabic learning environment.
  6. Provide targeted Arabic language support to small groups, reinforcing vocabulary and concepts introduced during co-taught sessions.
  7. Regularly assess students' progress in line with KHDA guidelines and provide structured feedback to parents.
  8. Participate in ongoing professional development (minimum of 20 hours per year) focused on language acquisition and early childhood education.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

  1. A recognised teaching qualification or Early Childhood Education.
  2. Experience working with young children (4-6 years old) in an educational setting.
  3. Fluent in Modern Standard Arabic, with strong communication skills and correct linguistic usage.
  4. A passion for working with children and an understanding of early language acquisition.
  5. Experience with bilingual or multilingual education models is an advantage.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to integrate Arabic into daily routines, playtime, and structured lessons.
  7. An excellent team player both within the department and across phases.
  8. Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
