Position: Safety Officer / Site Auditor JD
Assist in developing and implementing HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Ensure employees understand and follow all HSE protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential health and safety risks.
Develop and recommend corrective actions to eliminate hazards and prevent accidents and incidents.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Prepare incident reports and recommend actions to prevent future occurrences.
Conduct regular HSE training sessions, safety inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
Develop training materials for HSE policies and update content to reflect current regulations and best practices.
Ensure emergency response plans are in place, updated, and communicated to all staff.
Coordinate and conduct regular emergency drills, such as fire evacuations and first aid exercises, to ensure preparedness.
Stay updated on local, state, and national HSE regulations, ensuring the company is always in compliance.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies during audits or inspections, addressing any issues as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE audits, risk assessments, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions.
Prepare monthly reports on HSE compliance, incident trends, and areas of concern for management review.
Ensure the availability, maintenance, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all sites and warehouses.
Monitor PPE compliance during site audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
Act as a safety advocate, promoting a proactive safety culture and encouraging employee participation in HSE programs.
Collaborate with site managers and supervisors to implement safety best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and site training to field staff on installation SOP and compliance requirements.
Induction training for newly hired blue collar staff.
Perform regular audits and inspections of field staff and warehouse staff to assess compliance with HSE standards, Installation SOPs, and company policies.
Identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and areas for improvement, documenting findings in detailed audit reports.
Total experience 5+, 2 years experience as a Site Auditor and at least 3 years experience as a Safety Officer. UAE experience is mandatory.
