Quay Crane Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Startup Inspection: Conduct pre-operation inspections of the Ship to Shore Quay crane.
  Ensure all pre-checks are functional before starting operations.
• Loading and Unloading Operations: Operate the quay crane to load and unload containers as per instructions from the quay clerk.
  Perform lashing and unlashing operations by lifting and moving the lashing cage.
  Follow the ship's loading plan to ensure containers are placed correctly.
• Container Handling: Handle containers carefully to avoid damage to the containers, crane, and vessel.
  Maintain high standards of safety and efficiency during operations.
• Productivity and Deadlines: Ensure operations meet productivity targets and deadlines.
• Shift Flexibility: Be willing to work rotating shifts, cover for vacations, public holidays, and work overtime as required by HR policy.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with HSSE policies and procedures.
  Adhere to company policies and customer expectations regarding operational efficiency, productivity, and reliability.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by a manager or superior.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience in operating quay cranes or similar heavy machinery.
• Understanding of HSSE policies and procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime.
