Job Title: Strategic Head of E-Commerce

Our client is a dynamic and growing e-commerce business in the UAE, looking for a seasoned professional to lead their strategic direction. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of digital commerce, customer experience, and market trends in the GCC region.
The Strategic Head of E-Commerce will be responsible for shaping and driving the overall e-commerce strategy, ensuring business scalability, and delivering revenue growth. This leadership role requires expertise in market analysis, digital marketing, operations, and customer engagement to maintain a competitive edge in the UAE market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce growth strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities and emerging trends.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, logistics, and technology.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure strong ROI across campaigns, operations, and investments.
- Oversee platform development, ensuring a user-friendly, scalable, and secure online experience.
- Leverage data analytics and CRM tools to optimise customer experiences and business intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with UAE-specific regulations and e-commerce best practices.
- Enhance customer engagement and loyalty through personalised marketing strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in scaling e-commerce businesses in competitive markets (GCC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, supply chain management, and retail trends.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms, analytics tools, and CRM systems.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
