Job Title: Director of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of HSE to lead and oversee the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) functions within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing HSE programs in the logistics or supply chain industry, ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations, and driving a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of HSE policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices.
• Drive the safety culture and create awareness programs to ensure the well-being of all employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee risk assessments, audits, and inspections across logistics facilities to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure that the company is in full compliance with local, regional, and international safety regulations.
• Manage the incident investigation process, ensuring root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of HSE professionals and ensure continuous professional development.
• Stay updated on the latest HSE trends, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure the company remains proactive in addressing evolving safety challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, best practices, and compliance standards in the UAE and internationally.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
• Proven track record of driving a culture of safety and achieving measurable safety improvements.
• Certifications in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001, etc.) are highly desirable.
