Job Title: Leasing Accountant and Cashier – Real Estate (applicants must be available in UAE only)

Reports to: Finance Manager / Accounting Manager

Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Leasing Accountant and Cashier to join our real estate team. This role combines leasing account management and cashier responsibilities, requiring a professional with a strong background in real estate accounting, tenant billing, and collections. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, managing tenant accounts, and ensuring smooth financial operations for the property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leasing Accounting:
  2. Manage tenant accounts, including setting up new leases, recording lease payments, and ensuring timely invoicing and billing.
  3. Track and process rent payments, security deposits, late fees, and other lease-related transactions.
  4. Reconcile lease and tenant accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  5. Prepare financial statements and lease-related reports as needed.
  6. Cashiering Duties:
  7. Handle daily cash transactions, including receiving and processing payments from tenants.
  8. Issue receipts for all payments, maintaining a detailed cash register log.
  9. Deposit cash and checks promptly and accurately into the designated company accounts.
  10. Ensure cash drawers and safes are balanced at the beginning and end of each day.
  11. Assist in preparing monthly and annual reports, budget forecasts, and variance analysis.
  12. Maintain compliance with financial regulations and ensure all transactions are documented according to company policy.
  13. Work closely with the property management team to address financial queries from tenants.
  14. Customer Service & Communication:
  15. Respond to tenant inquiries regarding payments, lease terms, and account status.
  16. Coordinate with property management to address any outstanding balances or payment issues.
  17. Assist in lease renewals, terminations, and adjustments to lease accounts as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience as an accountant or cashier, with a minimum of 3 years in real estate accounting or property management.
  3. Knowledge of real estate leasing practices, tenant billing, and collection processes.
  4. Skills:
  5. Proficiency in accounting software Oracle suite, EPMS.
  6. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  8. High level of integrity and discretion in handling financial transactions.
  9. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  10. Analytical mindset and proactive problem-solving approach.
