The Drama Teacher will lead an engaging and industry-connected drama program, fostering students' performance, storytelling, and stagecraft skills. The curriculum covers classical and contemporary theatre, improvisation, scriptwriting, and technical production, with a strong emphasis on creative expression and professional industry practices. With access to cutting-edge performance spaces, collaborations with theatre companies, and guest artist workshops, the teacher will provide students with opportunities to develop their craft in both traditional and emerging performance mediums. The role involves directing student productions, integrating interdisciplinary approaches, and preparing students for further study or careers in the performing arts.

Skills
Person specifications:

1. Hold a BEd or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
2. A Master's degree or equivalent qualification is preferred
3. Have proven experience of teaching Drama to KS4/KS5 or equivalent
4. Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice
5. Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focused
6. Be creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching
7. Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents
8. Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching
9. Have aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
