Job description
Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of FI – Bank customers and conducting country & credit risk analysis for Banks/FIs.
Principal Accountabilities:
Manage a portfolio of FI – Bank customers.
Review and submit credit applications. Manage renewals on time. Ensure that the quality of country/FI analysis meets the standards of CBD’s risk management.
Develop relationships with targeted customers, including customer visits.
Identify customer needs and propose CBD products and services in coordination with product partners.
Follow up on customer transactions and liaise with concerned back offices when necessary.
Keep abreast of market changes (industry/customers) and share this information with concerned departments.
Participate in department budget discussions and follow up on budget realization.
Ensure compliance with Bank and Department Policies and Procedures, audit requirements, and internal and external reporting obligations to maintain high standards of uniformity and consistency across the Bank.
Ensure that customer compliance and legal documentation is updated and in good order.
Provide assistance, training, and development for department staff, including ARM, to enhance their capabilities and address all employee work and personnel-related issues to motivate top performance and growth opportunities.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Management.
Minimum 10 years of banking experience, with at least 4 years at a senior level in developing and managing international relationships, with exposure to Africa & Latam.
Good knowledge of banking operations and credit management.
Good knowledge and experience in an emerging market economy would be a definite advantage.
Good command of English and Arabic would be an added advantage.
