Key Accountabilities
The development of creative concepts, graphics, and layouts that showcase the GEMS brand and are attractive to a range of audiences.
Roll out the new GEMS corporate identity globally.
Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts for traditional media and online.
Using practicality and innovative thinking to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
Work with internal business teams (including education, enrolment, business development, and marketing) to determine their requirements, interpreting their business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
Work with the marketing and communications team, web developers, and other marketing specialists to design around content and messaging.
Adapt and grow skillset with a changing industry to sustain the organisation’s position at the forefront of the industry.
Skills
Expected Experience & Job-Specific Knowledge
BA in Graphic Design/Related or equivalent qualification from a recognised institute.
Excellent software skills including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and any other Adobe applications.
Dreamweaver and Flash experience is a huge advantage.
Experience developing and designing viable creative concepts to brief, in tight deadlines and on budget.
Knowledge of artwork/repro/print/production/finishing processes.
An understanding and appreciation of all elements of the marketing mix.
