We are now looking for Senior Project Manager to be part of our Project Management organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Reports To
The Senior Project Manager reports to the Head of Project Management.
Job Overview
The Senior Project Manager leads the projects which are allocated to him/her to manage. Manages and develops overall Project Management Office processes with respect to the project deliveries together with the Head of Project Management / Operation Manager of Delivery. Ensures interdisciplinary interfaces are working flawlessly. Interacts with Heads/Managers of Engineering Disciplines and Project Control in order to meet the project KPIs; safety, gross margin, schedule, cost, and quality requirements set by the Company and its Customers in project deliveries. Leads the project estimates in the bidding phase, manages and develops lessons learned and feedback process throughout the sales – delivery – sales process. Assures seamless take-over of project delivery from sales and seamless hand-over of project delivery back to sales.
Expected to manage FEED, DETAIL ENGINEERING projects for Onshore & Offshore projects.
Responsibilities And Duties
Senior Project Manager’s main duty is to deliver projects as were sold, to the Customer and with planned Gross Margin to the Company.
- Leads and manages projects (assigned to him/her) under supervision of the Head of Project Management / Operation Manager of Delivery.
- Coaches project team members.
- Cooperates with Sales, HSEQ, Engineering, Project Control, and Administration in order to meet company targets.
- Identifies project KPIs at the project initiation phase.
- Ensures safe, quality, timely, and cost-efficient project implementation.
- Ensures high resource capacity utilization and efficiency in projects.
- Suggests training and improvements on a need basis.
- Ensures that software for projects are available and efficiently utilized.
- Acts as frontline towards customers and subcontractors, suppliers in projects.
- Reports efficiently, timely, and proactively to the management on project activities, deviations, and achievements (minimum weekly basis).
- Measures and reports reliably projects progress (PoC), productivity efficiency, remaining work, cost, and time in order to have proper and trustworthy revenue and cost recognition and financial (Gross Margin) forecasting.
- Suggests and implements timely and actively improvements in overall performance.
- Leads project control, engineering, and procurement work in his/her projects.
- Ensures the agreed project deliverables are delivered in accordance with agreed quality, scope, and schedule.
- Verifies all scope variations from scope, time, and cost perspective, and presents them to management.
- Is responsible that the planned cash flow in projects is achieved.
- Ensures that all interdisciplinary checks and other quality checks are effectively performed.
Qualifications- Engineering Graduate (BSc. or MSc.).
- Minimum of 15 years relevant experience of Project Management and Control out of which minimum 10 years in the Oil & Gas (onshore and/or offshore), Refining, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries.
- Experienced in all stages of project delivery (Studies, FEED, and Detail Engineering).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent people management skills with solid understanding of customer interface.
- Willingness and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak of activities.
- Fluent in English language, both in verbal and written.

- Any locally or internationally recognized professional certifications and affiliations are considered as a plus (PMP certified is preferred).
