Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of Engineers / Inspectors and ensuring compliance of the submitted documents by the contractors with project requirements and the scope of work in compliance with contracts/agreement.
- Carrying out technical reviews for the SCADA system during the different execution phases, shop drawings, and material submittals in reference to project requirements, international codes, and related standards in a timely manner.
- Reviewing and developing project activities in consistency with the construction schedules and actual site work progress, and re-prioritizing activities accordingly as required.
- Reporting to the Project Manager and clients about execution status and contractors' performance on a weekly & monthly basis.
- Conducting periodical site meetings and workshops with contractors and sub-contractors to solve pending issues and mitigate or avoid any potential delays in actual progress, so as to achieve the planned progress.
- Ensuring the consistency of execution review comments with project objectives, tracking action/outstanding construction issues and snags in a timely manner.
- Coordinating with the technical team to initiate required actions to respond to contractors.
- Preparing/reviewing engineering documents, specifications & designs, supervising the construction of works at projects, reviewing work of contractors for compliance with plans and specifications, and supervising engineering personnel.
- Carrying out the review and supervision for the implementation of the proposed SCADA system architecture, HMI configuration, integration and interoperability tests between existing and new SCADA systems, ensuring system security, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other engineers to optimize the required process control of the specific system, and ensuring the system reliability and efficiency of the SCADA system as per project specifications and requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of SCADA (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition) and familiarity with the interface requirements that need to be established between the different systems and SCADA. Familiarity with IEC and international standards is also required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SCADA Engineer or in a similar role.
- Understanding of network design and cybersecurity principles for SCADA systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining system reliability.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is a plus.
