Purchasing Assistant

The Purchasing Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement department by assisting in the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and place purchase orders.
2. Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
3. Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
4. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders or deliveries.
5. Assist in the development and maintenance of supplier relationships.
6. Prepare and maintain vendor files.
7. Assist with inventory management and control.
8. Provide administrative support to the procurement department as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or Engineering (Mechanical Engineering is a plus), or a related field.

1. Experience: 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role preferred.
2. Skills:
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
4. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
6. Experience with ERP systems or procurement software is a plus.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Problem-solving skills.
9. Data entry and analysis.
10. Inventory management.

Required: Valid UAE Driver's License (Essential for this role).
