Teaching and Instruction:

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons for IGCSE and AS/A Level students.
2. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their language skills.
3. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.

Curriculum Development:

1. Collaborate with the English Department and other faculty members to develop and refine the IGCSE and AS/A Level English curriculum.
2. Incorporate literature, writing, and language skills development into the curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
3. Stay informed about changes and updates to the IGCSE and AS/A Level English syllabi and ensure alignment with curriculum standards.

Assessment and Evaluation:

1. Design and administer assessments, essays, and examinations to assess student learning and progress.
2. Provide constructive feedback to students on their writing, reading comprehension, and language skills.
3. Analyze assessment data to identify areas of strength and weakness and tailor instruction accordingly.

Student Support and Guidance:

1. Provide individualized support and guidance to students to help them improve their English language proficiency.
2. Offer additional assistance and resources to students who may be struggling academically.
3. Encourage and support students in developing effective study habits and exam preparation strategies.

Professional Development:

1. Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in English education.
2. Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and conferences to collaborate with colleagues and share expertise.

Communication and Collaboration:

1. Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress, expectations, and concerns.
2. Collaborate with other teachers, department heads, and administrators to support school-wide initiatives and promote a cohesive learning environment.
3. Attend parent-teacher conferences, school events, and extracurricular activities as required.
