Job Description

An Interior Design Studio Manager oversees the operations, projects, and team within a design studio. Their role combines creative direction, project management, and team leadership to ensure the studio delivers high-quality results efficiently and on time.

Team Leadership and Management

• Lead and inspire the design team, ensuring creative alignment with project goals.
• Allocate tasks and manage workloads to maximize productivity.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for the team.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address team challenges.

Project Management

• Oversee multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
• Establish project schedules and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage client presentations and incorporate feedback into designs.

Creative Direction

• Develop and refine design concepts in collaboration with the team.
• Ensure designs align with brand identity and client vision.
• Review and approve project designs, layouts, and renderings.
• Stay updated with design trends and incorporate innovative ideas.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to processes.
• Monitor and manage budgets for studio projects.
• Handle resource allocation, including materials, equipment, and software.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.

Business Development and Client Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to attract new clients.
• Prepare project proposals, contracts, and fee structures.

Design Quality Assurance

• Review all design outputs for accuracy, creativity, and technical precision.
• Ensure deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
• Handle troubleshooting and problem-solving for design or operational challenges.

Software and Technology Integration

• Ensure the team is proficient in software tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and V-Ray.
• Implement new technologies or software updates to improve productivity and quality.
• Review and enhance workflows for digital modelling, rendering, and documentation.
• Monitor project expenses and profitability.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms.
• Ensure the studio operates within its financial goals and KPIs.
