Petroleum Refinery Researcher

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to optimize refining processes and improve operational efficiency
- Analyze crude oil properties to determine the most effective refining methods
- Develop and test new catalysts, materials, and refining technologies
- Monitor refinery operations and propose enhancements to improve yield and product quality
- Study market trends and environmental regulations to align processes with industry standards
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes in refining methods or equipment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement research findings into operational processes
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on research outcomes and innovations
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations during research activities
- Stay updated on advancements in petroleum refining technology, alternative fuel research, carbon capture, and bio-refining

Job Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field, Master s or MBA preferred
- Experience in alternative fuel research, carbon capture, or bio-refining technologies
- Previous experience in an R&D or refinery environment is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of process optimization and advanced control systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in research and operations
