The Senior Buying Specialist is responsible for purchasing products for his/her department, ensuring the acquisition of items at the most favorable commercial terms and the best achievable prices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the formulation of a comprehensive purchasing strategy, making informed decisions based on market conditions, product lifecycle, price fluctuations, availability, and competition's business practices.
Negotiate agreements and contracts with suppliers, covering aspects such as product selling price, profit margins, returns to vendors, marketing contributions, exclusivity periods, defective policy, and after-sales service.
Develop routine reports, schedules, agreements, proposals, summaries, and letters as required.
Assist with stakeholder engagement to cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers. Solicit feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage the delivery and payment of purchase orders, tracks delayed orders, and oversees payment reports.
Support and coordinate the necessary advertising materials and display units to ensure proper merchandising and compliance with established standards.
Propose and organize events, prepare promotions, sales, and special collections, while coordinating with the marketing department and suppliers to strengthen and enhance brand sales.
Identify and cultivate new international labels and brands to innovate and expand product selection.
Perform supervisory responsibilities such as planning and delegating tasks, establishing deadlines, monitoring outcomes and quality, conducting training, and communicating team needs to upper management.
QAULIFICATIONS
Fluency in English, Arabic is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Proficiency in Elvis is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Four to six years of experience in a similar role.
