The Role
As Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Business Planning & Strategy
- Collaborating with regional leadership to create and implement business development strategies and budget plans.
- Leading business development initiatives across practice areas, including pitch management, marketing campaigns, and client targeting strategies.
- Facilitating cross-office and regional collaboration, ensuring best practices and increased efficiency.
- Supporting BD-focused travel and meetings, coordinating internal and external engagement opportunities.
- Managing regional BD budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
Winning Work & Pitch Management
- Leading bid and proposal processes, ensuring strategic positioning and high-quality submissions.
- Managing panel appointments, tracking new business opportunities, and ensuring follow-ups on client pitches.
- Developing marketing and BD materials, ensuring a consistent and compelling client message.
- Implementing best practices for bids and client proposals, ensuring the firm is well-positioned for success.
- Analysing win/loss rates and making strategic recommendations to improve performance.
Marketing & Profile-Raising
- Working closely with PR and communications teams to enhance the firm’s market presence in the Middle East.
- Overseeing directory and league table submissions, ensuring strong rankings and market recognition.
- Managing client events, sponsorships, and industry engagements, ensuring maximum impact.
- Ensuring brand consistency across all marketing, business development, and communications channels.
Client Development & Relationship Management
- Driving client relationship initiatives, ensuring strong engagement across key client programs.
- Supporting partners in identifying and targeting new business opportunities within key industry sectors.
- Managing client feedback programs, ensuring actionable insights lead to business improvements.
- Working with global and regional teams to enhance the firm’s client development strategy.
Best Practice & Internal Operations
- Driving BD efficiency by implementing best practices and promoting cross-functional collaboration.
- Utilising CRM systems and business intelligence tools to enhance client engagement strategies.
- Encouraging adherence to regional and global BD policies, ensuring alignment with firm-wide initiatives.

The Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, client relationship management, or marketing within a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.
