Job Description

Plumbing Responsibilities:

• Installation and Repair of Plumbing Systems: Install and maintain piping systems for water supply, drainage, and sewage.
  Repair leaks in water pipes, faucets, showers, and toilets.
  Install and maintain water heaters, filters, and other plumbing appliances.
  
• Pipe Fitting: Cut, thread, and connect pipes using appropriate tools.
  Ensure proper fitting of fixtures, appliances, and components.
  
• Drainage and Sewage Systems: Unclog drains, toilets, and sewer lines.
  Inspect and clear blockages in pipelines.
  Maintain sewage systems and septic tanks.
  
• Water Pressure Maintenance: Ensure that water pressure is at a sufficient and safe level for the household or commercial space.
  
• Compliance with Plumbing Codes: Ensure all plumbing installations and repairs meet local, state, or national codes and regulations.
  

Electrical Responsibilities:

• Installation of Electrical Systems: Install wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  Set up and maintain lighting systems and electrical appliances.
  
• Electrical Wiring and Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs on faulty wiring, outlets, or electrical systems.
  Replace or repair damaged circuits, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
  
• Upgrades and Modifications: Upgrade electrical systems to meet modern standards or customer needs (e.g., adding more outlets, upgrading lighting systems).
  
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure electrical installations follow safety guidelines and meet electrical codes.
  Test electrical systems to ensure safety and reliability.
  
• Maintenance and Inspections: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure proper function.
  Identify hazards such as exposed wires or faulty wiring and fix them promptly.
  

General Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Communicate with customers to understand their plumbing and electrical needs and provide estimates.
  Offer recommendations for repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
  
• Maintenance of Tools and Equipment: Ensure all plumbing and electrical tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  Ensure safety measures are followed when using tools and equipment.
  
• Emergency Services: Respond to emergency plumbing and electrical issues, such as burst pipes or electrical outages, especially in commercial or industrial settings.
  
• Coordination with Other Trades: Collaborate with other construction or maintenance teams (e.g., HVAC technicians, carpenters) on large projects where both plumbing and electrical work is needed.
  
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
  Provide detailed reports and invoices for customers.
