Maintenance Technician (Electrical and Mechanical)

Job Description

Preventive Maintenance of machines/equipments, identifying faults/errors and repairing. Improve equipment reliability and efficiency by increasing the MTBF (Mean time between failure).

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

1. Perform preventive maintenance of all the m/c and equipments as per plan established
2. Assist in the development of planned preventive maintenance schedule
3. Report breakdown, equipment faults and concerns to department head
4. Perform root cause analysis on frequent breakdowns and establish a solution
5. Maintain enough inventory or spare parts, track the usage, life cycle and setup reorder quantity and time
6. Ensure calibration activities are performed on necessary equipments and gauges
7. Train the machine operators on safe and proper use of machines, tools & equipments
8. Ensure equipments under AMC are serviced on timely manner
9. Assist with machine movements, installation, commissioning or relocation
10. Review of maintenance-related procedures
11. Maintain manuals and records of machines & equipments for reference and troubleshooting
12. Follow the ERP system set for preventive maintenance and work as per the schedule
13. Follow the housekeeping as per the 5S requirements
14. Suggest or raise observation on any improvements, risk, safety concerns and good practices
15. Ensure to comply with all NOV HSE procedures and policies and maintain relevant HSE logs
16. Observe HSE regulations, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel

Facility Specific Responsibilities

1. Perform daily, weekly & monthly PM checklist of machines
2. Open Unplanned work orders in the ERP system for machine breakdowns/faults
3. Ensure controlled use of spare parts and identify critical spares with high lead time
4. Perform routine overhauling / yearly PM assessing the machine availability
5. Ensure machines are running as per the requirement and at 100% efficiency
6. Provide training to any new hire / operators that are under the certification program
7. Other duties, as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent with knowledge on basic math, Desirable Technical / Associate degree
2. Well-versed in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

1. Knowledge of electrical system parts, functions & electrician hand tools
2. Understand drawings and procedures
3. Experience in mechanical/electrical installations, mechanical aptitude and understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems and schematics, experience in safe use of power tools
4. Ability to understand technical electrical, mechanical & pneumatic drawings
