Overview The Associate Contract Management Specialist is responsible for providing assistance and support in administering the commercial and contractual aspects of the prime contract. The Associate Contract Management Specialist also monitors, administers and participates in change orders, claims and the dispute resolution process both related to our Client contract as well as all subcontracts, insurance claims, etc., all under the direction of the Area Contract Manager. The Associate Contract Management Specialist works with the Project and Contracts Management Team to ensure that the company liabilities and legal obligations are defined, executed, and correctly reported. This position is an individual contributor role. The role directly reports to the Area Contract Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining the Area Contracts Management dashboard.
Assist in project monitoring and project benchmarking.
Support in maintaining Change Logs, Risk Registers and other similar management tools.
Support in the improvement and development of the Contracts Management dashboard and other functional initiatives.
Comprehend, analyze and interpret terms and conditions of contract/subcontract and articulates contract/subcontract obligations to other stakeholders.
Assist the Area Contracts Manager and the Project Team in the execution of the contracts as per the company policy and applicable regulations.
Assist with internal reporting of all commercial and contractual issues.
Support and manage activities related to the internal administration of the contracts.
Monitoring of contractual correspondence including preparation of letters and contractual notices in accordance with requirements of the prime contract.
Manage and maintain effective and accurate records of all contractual and commercial documentation.
Provide support in dealing with the contractual and commercial issues on the prime contract but may also extend to subcontracts, if necessary.
Engage in meetings and correspondence with the internal stakeholder, the client, subcontractors, and other third party.
Support preparation of technical and commercial aspects of change order proposals, inclusive of packaging final submissions to Client.
Qualifications
Typically 1 - 5 years of relevant EPC experience in the Oil & Gas / Energy / Petrochemical Industry
Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying or equivalent
PowerBI experience is an advantage
