Job Description:

Our client specializes in metering, processing, and engineering solutions for the oil and gas sector in the Middle East and Africa. The company designs, manufactures, and supplies skid-mounted equipment, covering all project stages from engineering to commissioning. Responsibilities:

1. Managing the engineering of the project, ensuring that all phases are carried out to meet the project schedule and budget
2. Coordinating the project team
3. Managing customer communication
4. Leading planned project meetings such as Design & Constructability reviews, HAZOP, P&ID, GA, Process, Mechanical, E&I, and Control System meetings
5. Managing the implications of changes and ensuring overall design integrity
6. Specification & procurement of equipment for incorporation into the package
7. Providing support to manufacturing
8. Participating in testing and inspections
9. Regularly reporting on key deliverables such as man-hours, bought-out items & completion dates
10. Ensuring that the design meets all required customer specifications, industry standards, and codes
11. Generating project-specific engineering procedures & documentation
12. Ensuring that all drawings & documents meet project requirements
13. Achieving project milestone dates to support cash flow
14. Producing proposals
15. Reviewing terms & conditions
16. Carrying out Bid Clarification Meetings (BCM’s)
17. Carrying out Pre-Award negotiations
18. Preparation & checking of documents produced “in-house”
19. Checking of documents produced by suppliers
20. Providing engineering support and technical solutions
21. Reviewing & interpreting specifications, standards & regulations, and project requirements
22. Obtaining quotations from suppliers & reviewing quotations

Requirements:

1. Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering Degree
2. Demonstrable experience in a project engineering role – the ideal candidate would have a history of working on bespoke engineered packages for the Energy industry
3. Strong communication, negotiation, technical, and organizational skills
