Conceive & implement concepts, guidelines & strategies in various creative projects & oversee them to completion.Understand the clients' KPIs and produce detailed & holistic creative work. Develop relationships with clients to ensureservice and delivery expectations are being met. Regularly communicate with regional/global counterparts to createsynergy in campaign strategy and approach.
Thought Leadership
- Collaborate with account managers to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements.
- Conduct training/deliver presentations on NNC’s creative thinking & work for internal teams & clients.
- Provide project management, professional development, and department growth opportunities.
- Give updates on the progress of each project and stage of their development and creation phase to executive creative leadership.
- Provide guidance and leadership to a team of designers and/or creative professionals.
Account Management
- Anticipate the client’s needs and set up internal process to meet/exceed them.
- Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas.
- Pitch ideas confidently and present their creative vision clearly to clients, as well as communicate in the same manner to members of their creative team.
Operating and Technical Requirements
- Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team.
- Monitor results of team efforts and propose actions for the future.
- Supervise department's daily workflow, assign project workloads, and monitor deadlines and budgets.
- Take responsibility of the creative philosophy & standard of output across the agency or department.
- Collaborate with account executives to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements.
- Direct multiple projects, advertising & social media campaigns, commercial films and 360 campaigns.
People Management
- Direct & motivate art directors, illustrators, copywriters, etc teams to utilize their talents effectively.
- Build an environment for the creative team to work in and oversee their ideas and projects.
- Train and guide subordinates into accomplished professionals.
Other Areas
- Take hands-on approach to role, with necessary digital platform expertise to quality control or troubleshoot issues around set up or tracking where necessary.
- Stay on top of new industry developments & readily suggest new technology and/or beta tests to clients.
- Meet regularly with creative teams to keep them up to date with the latest trends.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in advertising, fine art, design or relevant field; MSc/MA will be considered an asset.
- 4+ years managing creative services in a direct marketing agency or a combination of agency/vendor side experience.
- 5+ years digital creative directing experience.
- Professional Certification in Visual production tools.
- Outstanding planning and organization skills.
- Must have strong digital display and social media work.
- Superior strategic thinking and creative skills (written, visual and conceptual).
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
- Excellent client service and presentation skills.
- Self-motivation and a positive interaction with a wide range of individuals is expected.
- Broad understanding of typography, color theory, current design and advertising trends.
- Experience in creative copywriting and design.
- Extensive knowledge of digital display, video, paid social and website technologies, development methods and user experience.
