We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team. The Instrument Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and calibrating instrumentation and control systems in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and calibrate a variety of instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators.
Mount and wire instruments according to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Verify proper installation and functionality of instruments and control devices during commissioning.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on instrumentation and control systems to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in instrumentation and control systems using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
Repair or replace defective components and perform adjustments to restore proper functionality.
Conduct calibration of instruments and control loops to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards and specifications.
Perform functional testing of instruments and control systems to verify proper operation and performance.
Record calibration and test results, maintain calibration logs, and update documentation as required.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Follow industry standards, regulations, and best practices for instrument installation, maintenance, and calibration.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certification in instrumentation technology, electronics, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Instrument Technician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, control systems, and process control loops.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and calibration standards.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair instrument faults effectively.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to instrumentation and control systems (e.g., ISA, ANSI, NEC).
