Job description
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability
- Lead a team of merchandisers, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment between merchandising and promotional activities
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify new product opportunities and optimize product assortment
- Develop pricing strategies and monitor market competition to maximize product profitability
- Establish strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the operations team to ensure product availability
- Analyze sales data and financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or related field
- Proven experience as a Merchandising Manager or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- In-depth knowledge of retail merchandising principles and practices
- Proficient in using merchandising software and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to travel, as needed, to attend industry events and trade shows
