Banking & Finance Associate

We are currently looking for a junior to mid-level lawyer (2-5 yrs PQE, common law qualified) to join a busy and growing Banking & Finance team. Reporting to two partners, you will be experienced in the following:

• Understanding how banking transactions work;
• Exposure to a variety of banking transactions;
• Comfortable and experienced with time pressures in banking transactions;
• Familiar with security documents, legal opinions, loan agreements, and LMA documents;
• Ability to work independently while receiving supervision and training;
• Initiative to conduct research;
• Willingness to familiarize with UAE laws and regulations;
• Strong awareness of time pressures and responsiveness;
• Quick to grasp and understand work.

They are looking for someone who has been trained from a reputable mid-tier firm. It is more important to have banking experience rather than UAE law experience, as this can be taught. They will also consider candidates from in-house Banking & Finance roles.

The firm will offer relocation to the UAE as well as one month's accommodation. You will be eligible for a bonus plan and an interest-free housing loan as you need to pay 6 or 12 months' rent upfront.
