To perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and guidelines.

This position is responsible for performing various tasks required including but not limited to the following:

1. Receive, accept, and accession specimens from the laboratory.
2. Perform a variety of blood tests and various coagulation tests to aid in the diagnosis of disease.
3. Conduct technical procedures related to the counting and identification of blood cells and other specialized hematologic tests.
4. Verify accuracy of findings, identify test inconsistencies, and take appropriate action to make corrections and resolve problems.
5. Perform activities such as screening blood samples, preparing transfusion components such as plasma, platelets, RBCs, and updating blood bank records.
6. Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment used in blood analysis and procedures.

Minimum Bachelor in medical laboratory sciences or related field.

3-5 years of full-time experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Experience in Autoimmune and Special Chemistry.

• Governance and accreditation standards relevant to laboratory services.
• Knowledgeable in laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Laboratory information systems and reporting.
• Communication and teamwork.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.
