Job Description:
Oversee day-to-day quality control activities to ensure quality of the regular materials receipts.
Inspect materials receiving at warehouse.
Perform joint inspection with client and project team on materials receipt as necessary.
Identify and record discrepancies during the receiving inspection.
Resolve the materials discrepancies in liaison with user department.
Assist supervisor for resolving quality related issues in the department by coordinating with the relevant internal and external agencies.
Assist supervisor for conducting trial/testing of new material both internally and with external agencies.
Oversee materials re-certification activities.
Prepare daily time sheets for the team and make sure overtime hours are controlled well.
Prepare job turnover for next shift and prepare daily progress reports for job done under his supervision.
Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor, i.e., resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
Work as a team leader responsible for development/motivation of subordinates, on-the-job training, and performance appraisal of the team members.
Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Engineering/Diploma in Mechanical
4 to 6 years of experience
CSWIP Certification
Familiarity with materials standards/certification and quality system
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly in Excel & Word
Sound knowledge of technical terminology, particularly which is used in a marine environment
