Job Description
We are looking for a competent research assistant at the Khalifa Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology to work on symbiotic nitrogen fixation. The researcher will be responsible for establishing protocols, planning, designing, and conducting experiments with plants and bacteria to enhance the nutritional value of legume crops. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension depending on the success of the first year.
Minimum Qualification
PhD degree in Plant Biotechnology, Plant Molecular Physiology, Plant Molecular Genetics, or Microbiology with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Preferred Qualification
PhD degree in Plant Biotechnology; experience with symbiotic nitrogen fixation, alfalfa, or other legumes. Experience with plant transformation methods would be of advantage.
