Software Developer (Oracle)

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database applications using PL/SQL, including Packages, Functions, Procedures, Triggers, and Complex SQL queries.
2. Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database Server versions 10g, 11g, and 12c.
3. Configure, schedule, and manage consistent, logical backups, and ensure backup integrity using RMAN (Recovery Manager).
4. Develop Windows-based front-end applications using WPF, C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, and XML to interact with Oracle databases.
5. Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between the application interface and Oracle backend systems.
6. Utilize reporting tools to create and optimize reports for business users.
7. Apply knowledge of ERP systems, dashboard creation, and business processes to enhance the functionality and performance of database applications.
8. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and business analysts, to meet organizational goals.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 4 years’ experience as Oracle Developer with excellent knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL, installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle enterprise server 10g, 11g & 12c, and configuring databases for high availability, standby database technologies, Data Guard.
3. Experience in performance tuning, configuring, scheduling & performing consistent, logical backups, RMAN backups restoration, ensuring scheduled/unscheduled backups are as per backup plan, and performing recovery when needed.
4. Good knowledge in database synchronization, upgrades, migrations, monitoring database performance, and tuning instances and databases.
5. Strong experience in developing database applications in PL/SQL – Packages, Functions, Procedures, Triggers, Complex SQL, and understanding SQL plans.
6. Excellent experience in WPF, JavaScript, C#, ASP.Net, HTML, XML, reporting tools, and PL/SQL programming as front-end and Oracle as back-end.
7. Knowledge in ERP, dashboarding, and business domain is an advantage.
