Senior HSE Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards on construction sites.
2. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce hazards and incidents.
3. Enforce adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Conduct safety training sessions for onsite personnel, including site workers, subcontractors, and visitors.
5. Promote and educate the workforce about health, safety, and environmental best practices.
6. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and corrective actions taken.
7. Oversee environmental compliance on construction sites, ensuring waste management, pollution control, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
8. Continuously monitor construction sites to identify potential hazards, unsafe work practices, and noncompliance issues.
9. Inspect equipment and machinery to ensure they are in safe working condition and regularly maintained.
10. Maintain records of safety inspections, training certifications, and compliance activities.
11. Provide ongoing safety advice and recommendations to site management and workers.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
2. 5 years of UAE experience in HSE.
3. Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, local safety regulations, and environmental laws.
5. Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
6. Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to conduct site inspections and risk assessments in a timely and efficient manner.
8. A proactive, safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to preventing workplace injuries and environmental damage.
