Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Food and Beverage Manager to join the team in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  1. Assists in the co-ordination of organizational and administrative functions of the delegated F&B outlets.
  2. Assists in planning and implementing programs, policies and procedures to ensure that the standards are met.
  3. To ensure that the departmental objectives are cascaded to the delegated teams.

Administrational

  1. Assists in establishing standards of performance and job descriptions of colleagues.
  2. Participates in public relations activities, sales calls or other promotional activities designed at enhancing the image and profitability of the delegated F&B outlets.
  3. Ensure up-to-date hard copies of department SOPs are maintained at all times.

Operational

  1. Assists in conducting briefing with the outlet managers and outlet general managers.
  2. Meeting and interacts with representatives of the local community and potential guests as required.
  3. Assists in monitoring the activities of competitive hotels/restaurants.
  4. Assists outlet managers and outlet general managers to fulfil their responsibilities.

Financial

  1. Participates in the preparation of the annual business plan and sales and marketing plans.
  2. Monitors closely the profitability of all food and beverage outlets.
  3. Provides solutions to improve problem areas and assists in implementing corrective measures.
  4. To assist each outlet manager in the planning and implementation of effective sales and promotional activities to ensure maximum revenues.
