The price validation process for Unit Trusts, ACS, and OEICs involves conducting daily tolerance checks against benchmarks or comparative data within strict deadlines.
Proactively identify areas of concern and suggest enhancements to procedures where weaknesses or potential efficiencies are identified, demonstrating a clear and risk-based approach to outsourcing arrangements.
Conduct operational controls within the Cardiff Fund Oversight team, ensuring that Third Party Administrators are provided with the necessary data for fund valuation production and operational controls to guarantee compliance with regulations, such as Fund Manager sign-off.
Ensure that responses are provided promptly to the TPA or internal stakeholders, ensuring valuations are completed both accurately and expediently.
Maintain operational relationships within LGIM and with outsourced partners, ensuring that all parties fulfill their responsibilities in line with regulatory guidelines. This involves coordination with fund managers, operational teams, and relevant stakeholders to guarantee the prompt and precise resolution of issues.
Analyze, investigate, interpret, and communicate the causes of breaches, propose improvements to existing processes to reduce risks associated with outsourced products, and ensure the implementation of a robust Root Cause Analysis program. Challenge Third Party Administrators to strive for continuous improvement and prepare reports for Committees and Directors as necessary.
Apply a detailed understanding of financial markets, complex market instruments, and practices, as well as Unit Trust product features, to conduct the daily valuation of Unit Trusts in a controlled manner. Completing approximately 20 operational controls is crucial to verify the integrity of the daily valuations, proactively identify areas of concern, and improve procedures where weaknesses or potential efficiencies are identified.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
Strong knowledge of Unit Trusts, ACS, and OEIC, with some knowledge of SICAV, UCITS ICAV, QIAIF ICAV, CCF, QIAIF, Liquidity, ETF, CIT, and Pooled Funds.
Technical product oversight and guidance on fund investments.
A strong understanding of regulatory standards for pricing and valuations within the UK and internationally.
A strong understanding of fund valuations and their components.
A strong understanding of supplier relationships.
IOC Levels 1-3 beneficial.
Substantial financial services industry experience required.
