We are in search of a French-speaking, proactive, and driven HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This position will assist in auditing the company’s HR policies, procedures and personnel documents to ensure compliance. This role will provide a hands-on experience in understanding HR processes, policy development and document management, while contributing to the company’s efforts in maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and compliant HR practices.
Audit of HR Policies and Procedures:
• Review and assess current HR policies and procedures for compliance with local labour laws, industry standards, and best practices.
• Identify any gaps, inconsistencies, or outdated policies that need revision or updates.
• Assist in compiling and organizing recommendations for policy updates and improvements.
• Document findings and provide detailed reports of the audit process.
Audit of Personnel Documents:
• Review employee files and personnel records for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure that all required documents are included (e.g., contracts, performance reviews, training certifications, etc.) and properly stored.
• Identify and flag any discrepancies or missing documentation.
• Support the digitization and organization of employee records, ensuring proper confidentiality and security.
Compliance Checks:
• Conduct checks to ensure compliance with internal HR standards and external regulations such as data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, if applicable), labour regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Assist in identifying areas where HR practices may need to be strengthened to maintain legal and regulatory compliance.
Data Collection and Reporting:
• Collect data on the effectiveness of current HR policies, procedures, and personnel management practices.
• Assist in preparing audit reports that summarize the findings, including any discrepancies or compliance risks identified.
• Prepare presentations or summaries for HR leadership outlining audit outcomes and suggested improvements.
Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with the HR team, providing assistance where needed during the audit process.
• Engage with department heads and staff to gather feedback or clarification on specific policies or documents.
• Assist in drafting policy revisions or process improvements, if necessary.
