Job Responsibilities:
- In-depth knowledge of spares procurement of Trucks, both overseas and local.
- Independently handle the set-up & manage the unit from the beginning. Experience to manage the complete P&L of the entity and accountability.
- System awareness especially in Oracle.
- Cost awareness and ability to reduce costs. Able to work with strict budgets.
- Creation of department budgets.
- Creation of refurbished unit and managing it with set targets.
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies.
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.
- Examine and test existing contracts.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Enable the procurement department to control & optimize the Quantity, Quality, Cost, Timing and sourcing of purchasing process.
- Compliance Rate: Understand if suppliers fulfill your requirements.
- Number of Suppliers: Track your level of dependency towards your suppliers.
- Purchase Order Cycle Time: Know who to address your urgent orders to.
- Supplier Availability: Measure suppliers’ capacity to respond to demand.
- Lead Time: Understand the total time to fulfill an order.
- Cost of Purchase Order: Control the internal costs incurred by each purchase.
- Procurement Cost Reduction: Streamline the tangible costs savings.
- Procurement Cost Avoidance: Avoid potential extra costs in the future.
- Procurement ROI: Determine the profitability of investments.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Proven working experience as a procurement manager or head of procurement.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.
- Talent in negotiations and networking.
- Good knowledge of suppliers or third parties.
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
Education: BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics/ Business administration/ Master.
Experience: 5-7 years of relevant spare parts industry experience.
