Senior Accountant

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
2. Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
3. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
4. Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
5. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance with accounting standards.
6. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
7. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
8. Train and supervise junior accounting staff.
9. Assist in budget preparation and analysis.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
