Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our prestigious Cambridge school in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will work closely with secondary-level students, providing support tailored to their individual needs, particularly in the area of special education.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to students.
• Provide one-on-one and group support to secondary-level students, particularly those with special education needs.
• Support the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the teaching staff.
• Help manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on student progress to the teacher and parents as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to adapt teaching materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Encourage social and emotional development in students.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A degree in Special Education or a related field is mandatory.
• Experience working with secondary-level students, particularly those with special education needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
• Familiarity with Cambridge curriculum is a plus but not mandatory.
